The design narrative for the lateral apartment draws subtle inspiration from the presence of Savile Row and all that it stands for. Our inspiration stems from the refinement of the silhouette; the use of arcane pattern making and cutting methods and techniques; the use of pinch pleats on trousers and of box pleats for jackets; the refinement of the cut, and the effect of the cut, fold and pleat on how the fabric falls. Mayfair’s latest development scheme, Clarges, is an elegant response to the established Piccadilly streetscape, respecting the rhythm and scale of traditional buildings whilst creating its own identity through contemporary details and craftsmanship.
